Sclerotherapy
This technique to treat varicose and thread veins involves fine needle injections of slerosing solution directly into the problem veins. This empties the vein of blood and causes the walls of the vein to collapse and stick together, over time they ultimately disappear. Varicose and thread veins serve no purpose, as they are incapable of delivering blood effectively. Several sessions may be needed depending on the extent of the thread or varicose veins.
After the treatment the area will be wrapped in a bandage and aftercare instructions will be given.
